Our Leadership

Kaelyn Edwards (President & Founder)

Growing up with my twin sister Jillian taught me so many invaluable lessons! Jillian has never let her disability hold her back. Inspired by her perseverance, I wanted to help other children like Jillian gain their independence. Every child living with mobility challenges just wants to be able to keep up with their friends.

Jillian Edwards (VP)

Jillian's Jitterbug is awesome! I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing foundation. I hope kids can play outside with their friends just like I was able to do, thanks to my battery operated wheelchair. Let's get disabled children moving!

John Shewell (Board Member)

I joined Jitterbug to help with a tremendous cause. When I saw the passion Kaelyn had around the organization and the great benefits it could provide, I knew I had to be a part of it. Bringing mobility to children has so many benefits and Jitterbug is the vehicle to make that happen.

To me, the work that Jitterbug does helps disabled children have a little bit of freedom and independence. There are great assistive technologies out there – but many families don’t have the financial resources to afford them. With insurance deductibles and caps, even the best plans may not cover all of the costs. Being able to help families afford mobility is what this is all about.

As the father of a disabled child I’ve been witness to how fundamentally powerful independence can be for a child that relies on others to go where they want to go.

David Bidwell (Board Member)

Mobility equipment is so costly and many families simply can’t even afford the copays to acquire the equipment their children desperately need.
